Ravi Bhat is Portfolio Manager, Equity Arbitrage at Polar Asset Management Partners and is responsible for Special Purpose Acquisition Company and Closed-End Fund arbitrage strategies.

Mr. Bhat joined Polar in 2009 as a Risk Manager and in 2010 became a member of the investment team. Prior to joining Polar, he worked at Columbia University as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist with the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics. Mr. Bhat graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Physics from Queens University in 1996 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical Physics from the University of Toronto in 2005.
