Chris Cavoli
Chris Cavoli is a Partner at Valor Equity Partners. He joined the firm in 2025 after a 38-year career in the US Army, from which he retired as a four-star general. He was commissioned in the Infantry and commanded troops at every possible level, in peacetime, on operations, and in combat. His final posting was as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, where he was responsible for all NATO plans and operations, as well as the transformation of the Alliance's system of collective defense. During this period, Chris was also the commander of US European Command, in which role he was responsible for all US plans, forces, and operations in Europe, and was the principal officer responsible to assist the Ukrainian military in its ongoing war with Russia. During his career, Chris was also a trained specialist in Russian affairs and served in numerous related postings in the US and abroad.
Chris holds numerous US military and civilian awards and has been decorated by many governments throughout the world. He serves on the board of the Munich Security Council and the Atlantic Council.
Chris holds an A.B in Biology from Princeton University and a M.A. in Russian Studies from Yale University.
